BA in Modern Languages at Bristol University 1980 - 1983.
General building contractor in London 1984 - 1986.
Architectural assistant at Chapman Taylor Partners 1986 - 1988
Studied at South Bank Polytechnic 1987 - 1990.
Worked with Richard Reid Architects during 1990 before moving to Dublin.
Graduated from UCD 1992 and Membership MRIAI 1994.
Worked with O'Donnell and Tuomey Architects from 1992 to 2001, since 1998 as Associate.
Acted as project architect on the following:
-Blackwood Golf Centre, Co. Down. (RIAI Award 1995, RIBA Award 1997)
-Gallery of Photography, Temple Bar (AAI Downes Medal 1997)
-Ranelagh Multidenominational School (RIAI Award 1999, AAI Downes Medal 1999, RIBA Award/Stirling Prize Shortlist 1999, Mies van der Rohe Prize Shortlist 1999)
-The Furniture College, Letterfrack (AAI Downes Medal 2002, RIAI Award 2001, RIBA Award 2001)
-Cherry Orchard National School (currently on site)
-Also worked on detail design: Galbally Housing (AAI Award 2001)
Later involvement with ODT on consultancy basis: Lewis Glucksman Gallery, UCC, Cork (RIAI Award 2005, RIBA Award 2005/Stirling Prize Runner-up).
Has been teaching part-time in UCD Department of Architecture since 1999.
Formed Donaghy and Dimond Architects in 2001 with co-director Marcus Donaghy.
